The original idea of Memorize Music Theory was to allow intermediate musicians, like myself, to quiz themselves so they could become faster at recalling note relationships. As I began implementing this quizzing system, I realized that many people may not know why they should bother learning these note relationships. This realization prompted me to expand the scope of the app from just intermediate musicians to beginners as well. This led me to focus on creating lessons and tools that I hope will help anyone new to music theory in their musical journey.
An important principle to me, possibly the most important principle, was accessibility. There were some whom I would explain the app to, and they would ask me questions about monetization. They'd ask why I don't block certain parts of the app behind paywalls. To put it simply, I hate when apps do predatory things like that. I'm not making a get-rich-quick scheme. I just made an app that I thought could be useful. If I make any money at all, I'm grateful for the support. And if you think of something that you'd like to see in the app, please feel free to let me know on the X Page!
